A night out.You can also go to Julianadorp or Den Helder for a night out. In Julianadorp itself you will find a café / restaurant within 5 minutes walking distance and many cozy cafes with in the summer also often live music, especially on Sundays when a trunk market is held in the summer. You will find in Den Helder 3 locations with a cinema, 1 with alternative films: Cinema Cinema Zevenskoop, Julianaplein 43 cinema, 1781 HA Den Helder, Tel. 0223-610 941. This is a movie theater that is maintained by the foundation of the same name in Den Helder. It's not a cinema. The difference is in the objective. A cinema is a commercial company and therefore focuses mainly on films that generate sufficient money. The foundation has set itself the goal of illuminating the medium of film more as a cultural phenomenon and, if possible, as an expression of art. The program is tuned as broadly as possible. All genres are covered: from romantic comedies to the more committed films. The intention is that, despite the somewhat isolated position of the region, people can still find quality films nearby. At the old Rijkswerf you will find a multi-screen cinema at a large basin called Kinepolis Den Helder , Willemsoord 51; Reserve at Tel. 0223 677899. In the same building as cinema Kinepolis you will also find a grand theater, in modern style, where there is something fun to do every evening: Schouwburg De Kampanje , Willemsoord 63, 1781 AS Den Helder, Tel. 0223-674 664. Of course you can always enjoy yourself in one of the many restaurants in Juliana village and Den Helder. Look under the chapter 'restaurants' for this. If you want to spend the evening cheaply, you can always visit our 7 km long beach or in the largely nostalgic Huisduinen on the dike, where you also have the Nogal Wiedus café restaurant with beautiful sea views, located near lighthouse 'De Lange Jaap'. < br> |
